As an Associate Wealth Advisor at Grant Street Asset Management, David believes the work begins and ends with trust. Clients here aren't assigned a single point of contact. Every client has the full team behind them, and David takes pride in the role he plays in it. He'd rather do the careful version of the work than the quick one, particularly when a family's plan depends on it.
Day to day, David supports the firm's investment process through research and due diligence on the strategies and investments considered for client portfolios, along with the ongoing monitoring and analysis that keeps those decisions current. He also applies his technical background to Grant Street's adoption of AI, partnering with colleagues to design and implement workflows that improve efficiency across the firm. The purpose is straightforward: give advisors more of their time back for the part of the job they thrive in, which is sitting with clients and thinking carefully about their circumstances.
David holds a Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Economics from Carnegie Mellon University and a Master's degree in Computer Science from DePaul University. Set alongside the years he spent close to markets and investment data, first at Group One Trading and later at Morningstar, that combination is a real advantage. He understands how markets behave, how people tend to behave when markets do, and how technology can make a firm sharper at both.
Born and raised in Pittsburgh's North Hills, David spent nearly six years in Chicago before coming home. He and his wife, Azi, live in the Strip District and are working their way through the neighborhood's coffee shops and restaurants. Outside the office, he enjoys golf, watching the Steelers, and spending as much time as he can with family and friends.
